What is the difference between HD Lace & Swiss Lace?

HD Lace (also known as CB Thin lace) is a very fine, delicate lace material. HD Lace creates a seamless hairline and melts more effortlessly than swiss lace.

Our swiss lace is also a fine material but not as thin as HD Lace.

What are the pros and cons of HD lace and Swiss lace?

HD Lace, due to its delicate material is not as durable as swiss lace. The life span of HD lace is decreased the more the wig is worn.

However due to the material used for our swiss lace, once installed with or without glue creates a flawless, undetectable finish.

Swiss lace is thicker than HD lace, it does not melt as flawlessly as HD lace.

However, as the material used for swiss lace is more durable, it lasts longer than HD lace.

Should I go for HD or Swiss lace?

This is dependent on preference and the reason for your purchase. For example, if your unit if for a special event e.g. wedding – we would recommend HD Lace.

What is the difference between 5×5, 13×4 and full lace?

The measurements above refer the size of the lace.

5×5 is our closure size and can be used to create a simple middle or side part.

13×4 is the size of our lace frontals. The frontal provides parting space from ear to ear.

Full lace means there are no wefts/tracks in the unit. The base of the unit is full lace.

Will my unit come fully customised?

Yes. All our units come fully customised – bleached knots, plucked hairline, tinted lace to match your skin.

Once you’ve made your purchase, you will receive an email with information on what we need from you to complete the customisation process.

I’ve seen a unit I like on Instagram, how do I find it on your website?

At the bottom of our homepage, you will find all the units that have been featured on our Instagram page.

If do no not find the unit here, this may mean that the wig is part of one our existing collections. If this is the case, the name of the wig will be in the caption on Instagram. You can use the search bar on our website to find the wig by searching the name.

Consultations & Fittings

I can’t come to the studio for a fitting, can you still help me fit my new unit?

Yes. We can FaceTime or video call you once you have received your unit. Please send us an email to get booked in.

I am new to wigs and not sure on what I want, what should I do?

We offer consultations in our London studio and virtually via video call

Revamps and repairs

Processing time

How long does a wig take after I’ve placed my order ?

  • our normal wig making service takes 9-10 working days

What is my cap size?


Circumference 18”-21”, front to nape 11”-12.5″, ear to ear 11”-12”.5 = SMALL
Circumference 21.5”-22.5”, front to nape 12.5”-13.5”, ear to ear 12.5”-13.5” = MEDIUM
Circumference 22.5”-24”, front to nape 13.5”-14.5”, ear to ear 13.5”-14.5” = LARGE

What’s best a glueless or glued unit?


All of our units can be worn glueless but for a more seamless look especially for special occasions we’d advise a glue’d unit but for everyday wear defintley glueless

What is 300g in terms of bundles?


2 bundles and a 50g frontal however, you can request how many bundles you would like for your unit

Processing & Shipping

I need a wig as soon as possible, do you offer an express service?

Yes. We offer express processing. You can view and select the options under the ‘processing time’ option

How will I know when my order has been shipped?

Once your order has been collected, you will receive a notification and estimated delivery date from DHL.

I missed my delivery, what should I do?

If you miss your delivery, you will need to contact DHL to reschedule.

Gift Cards

Chrissy Bales gift cards ("Gift Cards") are valid for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. After this period, any remaining balance on the Gift Card will expire and cannot be redeemed. 

Gift Cards can be redeemed for purchases of products available on the Chrissy Bales website. Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash or refunded. They are intended for use by the purchaser OR the recipient named on the Gift Card.

Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase additional Gift Cards. They also cannot be used to pay for shipping costs or taxes associated with purchases. 

Chrissy Bales is not liable for lost or stolen Gift Cards. Treat your Gift Card like cash and keep it in a secure place. Lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced or refunded.

Products purchased using a Gift Card are subject to the standard return and refund policy of Chrissy Bales. Any refunds for products purchased using a Gift Card will be credited back to the original Gift Card.

Chrissy Bales reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions anytime without prior notice. Any changes to the terms and conditions will be effective immediately upon posting on the Chrissy Bales website.
