I purchased my custom-made unit in August 2025. I chose 18-inch Peruvian body wave hair, a 5×5 HD lace closure, 300g density and Natural 1B. The wig cost £1,553.76, plus £91.80 for a private fitting, so it was a significant investment. I appreciated having my measurements taken and the unit made specifically for me. This was meant to be my polished “adult wig”.
Unfortunately, I have only been able to wear it a handful of times because it sheds excessively. I raised the shedding explicitly last year and the team kindly accepted the wig for a complimentary revamp. However, the treatments they later described focused on washing and conditioning the hair, and I do not believe the shedding problem was resolved. I have personally washed the wig only twice since buying it, using the recommended products and care instructions, and it shed heavily both times. I now feel anxious about washing or wearing it because I fear losing more of the hair I paid so much for.
The comb at the back has also broken despite the limited wear, leaving a hard, scratchy piece against my head. This is disappointing for such an expensive, custom-made unit.
I really wanted to love this wig. I like Chrissy, I appreciate the personalised concept behind the brand and I was pleased with the support when I first raised my concerns. Sadly, the ongoing shedding and broken comb mean that I rarely reach for the wig and have not received the use I expected from such a substantial investment.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear about the shedding you have experienced with your unit, and we completely understand your concerns.
During your fitting appointment, we identified that the cap required further adjustment to achieve the intended fit. This is something our team is able to correct; however, under normal circumstances, we would recommend allowing sufficient time for these alterations to be carried out using our dedicated adjustment process before returning the unit to you.
As you were due to travel out of the country and required the unit for that weekend, we accommodated your request to make the necessary adjustments during your appointment so that you could take the unit with you. This required alterations to certain sections of the cap and wefts. As explained during your appointment, carrying out these adjustments within the limited timeframe, rather than following our full adjustment procedure, could weaken the wefts and potentially result in shedding. As you required the unit urgently for your trip, you confirmed that you were happy for us to proceed.
We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention and would like the opportunity to resolve it for you. Our team will contact you privately via email to arrange for the unit to be returned to us, allowing us to fully assess and readjust it using the appropriate procedure.

As a new wig girlie I was so nervous and unsure about what I wanted and Chrissy made the whole process smooth, engaging and fun! I created my own unit and had it fitted at the salon. I can only say wow, I feel like a million dollars and am already thinking about my next unit.
